Transgeographical Hydro Bodies

Transgeographical Hydro Bodies is an artistic research and participatory performance project that crosses four European cities - Genoa, The Hague, Oslo and Berlin - to activate a collective reflection on the fundamental role of water in our society. Conceived by Forevergreen in collaboration with iii (The Netherlands), Tenthaus (Norway) and Cashmere Radio (Germany), the project is realised with the support of Perform Europe.

At the centre is Hydro Bodies Assembly, a participatory lecture-performance curated by the Genoese art collective Corpi Idrici, which takes shape through three days of free workshops open to the local community. Each stage becomes a site-specific workshop in which artists, activists and citizens collaborate in the construction of the performance, bringing their voices, images and visions on the relationship between bodies and water environments.

The project kicked off in Genoa, from 15 to 17 April 2025, with the workshops hosted at Casa nel Parco - Casa Gavoglio and the final performance in the Panorama space. After this first presentation, Transgeographical Hydro Bodies continues its journey to The Hague, where it will be hosted by iii Project Space from 7 to 9 May, will then move to Oslo with Tenthaus from 21 to 23 May, and will conclude in Berlin from 29 September to 1 October with a hybrid performance broadcast by Cashmere Radio.

Through a transdisciplinary artistic language combining video art, sound design, installation, text and performative action, the project aims to nurture an international dialogue on the rights of water bodies, understood as living subjects, strengthening the link between art, sustainability and active participation.
