The multi-year project ‘Be Art Be Part’ aimed to tell, enhance and activate Genoa's diffuse cultural heritage through a process of collective imagination and new practices of cultural participation.
Involving boys and girls in laoratories and artistic pathways, Be Art Be Part offered tools and training to enhance skills of expression and knowledge of the territory.
Through workshop activities such as photography, video, music production and storytelling and the hybridisation of artistic languages, the participants created a new narrative of the city.
In promoting social and cultural inclusion and increasing citizen awareness of civic, social and artistic/cultural dimensions, the project involved a network of local partners, with Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura as the lead partner, and the support of various cultural and social actors in the city.
