Ricordati di Prè

In 2016, during one of the first editions of the Electropark electronic music festival, we proposed, almost by chance, a DJ set at the Mercato dello Statuto, a historic municipal fruit and vegetable market in the centre of the Prè neighbourhood, and we realised how much the people who live in Prè every day needed initiatives to make citizens rediscover that part of the city.

By launching the ‘Ricordati di Prè’ (Remember Prè) crowdfunding campaign, we collected donations and funds to extend the Electropark festival venues and use, in the 2017 edition, also the ‘zero sea mile’ fish market in Calata Vignoso and the splendid Piazza dei Truogoli in Santa Brigida.

The project made it possible to produce a series of pre-evening events spread throughout the Pré neighbourhood, actively collaborating with the area's businesses, associations and citizens already working in this direction.

We organised live music, DJ sets and street food among the market stalls and in the square: culture and commerce, together.
At the basis of ‘Ricordati di Prè’ is the conviction that the redevelopment of Prè passes through cultural initiatives that make the neighbourhood more attractive both to citizens and to the investment of new merchants.
And electronic music is culture, and represents a lever for generating social value in the area.
